What it does (in plain English)

• No remembering: in Auto Mode, proximity detection can automatically arm when you walk away and disarm when you return.
• Smarter alerts: escalation from warning to full alarm using your horn/siren plus indicator/brake light outputs.
• Set it once: adjust sensitivity and timing in the app — no laptop, no special tools.
• Battery + ride stats: check battery voltage, percentage, lifetime min/max voltage history, and riding time.
• Turn-signal reminder: “Indicator Whisper” plays an optional audio clicks to your phone/helmet headset.
• Over-the-air updates: firmware updates via the app with cryptographic signature verification.

DIY fit (6 wires)

• Red: Battery + (always on)
• Black: Ground
• Blue: Horn or 12V siren output
• Yellow ×2: Left / Right indicators

If you can change a fuse, you can fit Watchman — typical install time 20–30 minutes.

Security & privacy (the good stuff)

• Authenticated BLE pairing using a 6-digit passkey (MITM protection).
• Signed firmware updates: the app verifies update authenticity before flashing.
• Location permission (Android): required by Android for BLE scanning. The app does not need or store your GPS location to work.
